Happy Winter Solstice Festival...!!!

this is a day where every chinese family will make "tang yuan" together. it symbolises reunion of the family. as of the shape of "tang yuan" is round and in the chinese culture, "round" (yuan) means reunion. This culture is very important in the chinese society. therefore, you can notice that chinese people always like round shape items, even the statue they worship!

Browse through facebook and discovered a lot of youngsters that are away from home actually miss this celebration. they claimed that they never appreciate this moment when they were at home. and now they regret as no one makes "tang yuan" for them to eat. they miss the reunion feeling.

i just had a session with my housemates in making "tang yuan". i wasn't so enthusiastic in it but with the positive environment, i took part... at last we made a big bowl of "tang yuan", which i feel satisfied too.
